The Gallery – World Photograph Day

Since we went digital in 2004 mostly all my photographs are on my lap top or the external hard drive, in fact since the Little Lady was eight weeks old the albums have stopped.

I loved my photo albums, they would be my choice of items to get out of the house after the children, husband and cats in case of a fire.  The first thing I thought about when I saw the title for the Gallery at Sticky Fingers this week wasn’t “Oooo what shall I take!” but “*sigh* I really need to sort that out and get my albums up to date.” I was also given a Digital photo frame for my birthday from the smalls and I haven’t filled that up either….  Time to get a grip!

Anyhoo!

This weekend just gone we were away in Pembrokeshire, so I give you

Slide together

Weeeeee……

This is Mummy and the Little Lady enjoying the bumpy slide at soft play, it’s honestly hard to say who had the best time (hehehehe)

Where to begin? The Gallery!

This weeks The Gallery theme from Sticky fingers is playtime and should be easy,, so why oh why did I have soooo much trouble with it?

There is so much that playtime could encompass that I couldn’t choose!

Love that face!

Playing with your food!

“Helping” Daddy

Loving it :-)

Because Mummy wanted too…

Boarding in Wiltshire because we could…

It’s a Barbie car *mother groans inwardly…*

Insisting on paddling although unprepared

Finding fun in chores

Learning through play

Feeling the fear and doing it anyway

Screaming at the top of your lungs with exhilaration

The video clip is terrible quality – sorry – after faffing with cables for 2 hours I decided to record it from the flip screen onto my phone to upload, I am as ever incredibly useless with technology….

Cannon Hall Farm

Yesterday we took the smalls to Cannon Hall Farm on the recommendation of a Twitter friend Himupnorth. The smalls had a really great day out, loved feeding the animals and seeing all the babies, wandering in the kitchen garden and visiting the many Rhododendrons in the fairy garden. We even managed to do two Geocaches in the grounds. Here are some pictures of our day, you will see that the adventure playground was especially popular.

Milking the "cow"

Hats off to the Ladies at Nursery.

I have just spent the morning with my son at nursery, it’s his introduction day we have to go once or twice more together so he is quite at home with them and then he will go on his own. I have been quite peeved with them because although I have been telling them of his arrival for 2 years they do not have space for him, he will have to slot in when there is a gap. I have never considered sending him anywhere else because little miss is flourishing there, being two places at 9am might be tricky too because ideally I want him to go on the same mornings as his sister – wonder why?

However, I have to say it for those Ladies they are totally awesome at what they do! My daughter always comes home with a pile of drawings, a painting, something she has stuck, a cake or biscuit she has helped to make, sometimes modeling clay or a construction of boxes, often there is so much I’m glad I have the buggy with me to carry it all!

Yesterday she had a lamb she had painted white and stuck on cotton wool and googly eyes, the day before she had a vase of paper tulips (in fact she had two of those, must of got an extra go). Today she was doing writing in her book, mixing paints to make different colours, making biscuits and they had a nature table with a huge array of sticks, leaves bits of tree and blossom and they were hunting for mini beasts. All in one morning.

She loves going to nursery and once her coat is off and lunch box is on the trolley she is off so fast I don’t often get a backward glance let alone a kiss and a hug and that is the way it should be.

The Little Man had a ball this morning, he played kitchen, drew on the white boards with markers, played in the sand, drew with pencils, slid down the slide over and over, made sandcastles and filled up dumper trucks, looked for mini beasts, lined up with the big kids and washed his hands and sat still while they all had fruit, milk and marmite on toast at snack time.

Same again next Wednesday!

Slide little man!

Such a wondrously sunny day do you not think?  Glorious here in our little corner of Wiltshire so we decided to go to the park again (we were there yesterday too).  The smalls love the flowers planted in their display beds, we have hyacinths in white and purple rectangles on one side and bright red tulips on the other and the smell is overwhelming :-) .

They charged to the roundabout today, my least favourite as it is really really hard to push and you can never get up a decent speed. Then it was the jungle jim thingy with the rope ladder that my little man won’t do and the slide. Whilst he was charging up and down the steps I noticed a bouncy castle by the band stand “Anyone want to go and see the bouncy castle?” “me please!” and “eeese!” were the replies, so off we trotted.

Actually it was a giant bouncy slide, £1.50 a go but no time limit, wish I had remembered the camera!  Herself was fine, she has no fear, looking to Mummy to provide the whoops of congratulations as she charged up the steps and slid down backwards on her tummy. He followed her down once looking petrified the entire time but climbed back and sat up at the top and refused to come down for over 30 minutes. He was enjoying himself though, watching the boats and the man on the ride-on mower, after throwing every bit of ammo I had at him – no to pom bears, no to juice, not worried that Mummy was leaving, I gave up and went up and got him.
